About Amy

Amy is the daughter of two successful real estate pioneers, Anita and Robert Surette. As a child,  Amy and her siblings learned the real estate business over the dinner table as mom and dad discussed the intricacies of the business.

Amy attended the Dennis-Yarmouth School system and went on to earn her BS at American International College in Springfield. After daily immersion in the real estate business as a youngster Amy thought she'd head in a different direction and she entered into the practice of public accounting in Springfield, MA with a major CPA firm.

In 1987 Amy returned to the Cape and took over the operation of the family's Real Estate business. Following in her mother's footsteps Amy has achieved many honors and awards from the Local, State and National professional boards. Amy has been one of the leading Real Estate professional  in the Mid Cape area for the past 20 years.  She has been consistently one of the top 10 leading brokers Cape wide. 

Amy has been chosen by her fellow professionals to serve on the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTOR© . She holds the distinction of being the youngest person to ever hold the office of President in 1998.

During her reign as President of the CC&IAOR Amy spearheaded the effort to bring smoke detectors to all homes. She also worked to establish the requirements for continuing education for all REALTORS©.

Amy served her profession on the stale level as Regional Vice President of the Massachusetts Board of REALTORS© for the Cape Cod area. She is currently involved with  the education committee and is writing curricular materials for agents.

Amy has been recognized as the REALTOR© of the Year twice by the CC&IAOR and has received the Chuck Lockhart Award for excellence from the Association. Amy volunteers in her community as an active member of the Cape Cod Heart Association,  American Cancer Society along with many other organizations.

In an effort to offer the best real estate service available locally Amy and Dick Martin merged their offices to form Martin Surette Realty making their offices the top real estate team in the Mid Cape Area. In a recent effort to even further enhance their services the agency in early 2005 became ERA Martin Surette Realty, the only ERA offices on the Cape, with their available extensive range of national and international services and offerings. Amy and Dick Martin are pleased that their company has grown from two offices to four offices Cape wide.
